Social Media & Digital Engagement

While working with Eat the Capital, I developed engaging social media content that highlighted local dining experiences and food culture. From crafting compelling captions to curating eye-catching visuals, my work focused on growing audience engagement and brand visibility. I have also applied these skills to nonprofit communications, designing a full campaign proposal for the Turn the Mill Around Campaign to support historic preservation efforts. Explore below to see how I bring stories to life through strategic content and digital storytelling.

01

Content Strategy Overview

I create content that focuses on compelling storytelling and visuals to build brand identity and foster audience connection. I prioritize content that not only informs but also invites interaction. This ensures content aligns with an organization’s voice and goals.

I have experience managing content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I specialize in high-quality photography, promotional campaigns, and client features. I design each post to maximize engagement, whether through strategic copy-writing, community-driven interactions, or platform-specific best practices.

In preparation Turn the Mill Around Campaign's capital fundraising efforts, I developed a social media campaign designed to raise awareness, engage community supporters, and drive donations.

I included in this plan a series of narrative posts, branded visuals, and platform-specific engagement tactics, all tailored to showcase the historical importance of the Chapman-Beverley Mill and the urgency of preserving it. I also outlined strategies for cross-promotion with local organizations and clear calls to action to guide audiences toward donation and advocacy.

Though the campaign is forthcoming, this work demonstrates my ability to translate organizational goals into a thoughtful digital engagement plan, with clear attention to voice, audience, and community-building.

As an account executive for Mason Dixie Foods, a comfort food brand, I crafted this social media post featuring their signature biscuits blended into a peach cobbler parfait -  emphasizing their commitment to clean, wholesome comfort food made with real ingredients. I wrote the copy and selected the accompanying photograph to reflect Mason Dixie's mission of offering high-quality products that resonate with consumers seeking authentic Southern Flavors.

For this post for Dupont Circle eatery Thai Chef DC, I wrote the copy, snapped the accompanying photo, and managed the Bangkok Night Bites giveaway to drive online engagement and event participation. I captured a medium close shot of the dish that reflected the quality of Thai Chef's authentic cuisine. I encouraged followers to interact and enter the giveaway. This post not only boosted visibility for Thai Chef but also helped generate buzz and attendance for their exclusive event.

I designed this BarTrack post to announce the beverage technology company's new partnership with Don Taco, emphasizing BarTrack's rapid expansion into the hospitality space. I wrote the copy and selected this image of BraTrack's founders in front of Don Taco, reinforcing their hands-on commitment to enhancing draft beer quality. I used this post to present BarTrack as an industry leader dedicated to helping breweries and bars optimize their beverage programs through their cutting-edge technology.

In addition to account management, I would often visit D.C. area restaurants, like Shilling Canning Company, to capture photographs for Eat the Capital's feature series. I photographed these restaurants' food and ambiance to create engaging visuals that promoted their unique culinary offerings.
